نظرة عامة على الرحلة
This is an excellent trek that takes you to the wild and beyond on this 16 day Manaslu Circuit Trek. This is an adventure to a region where very few travelers visit. Those who go to this region of the Himalayas will see its natural beauty, experience isolation, and witness the peaceful lifestyles of the sincerely spiritual Tibetan Buddhists and their happy faces. This is the great escape from the hustle and bustle of other treks in Nepal. The trail takes you through remote Tamang and Sherpa villages where you will observe their daily lifestyle in this remote and harsh region of the Himalayas. The Manaslu Circuit Trek will leave you with a greater appreciation of what is truly important in life. These people tolerate harsh extremes of weather yet somehow remain contented while living a spiritually rich life.
On the trek you will have constant views of many splendid snow capped peaks, particularly the iconic Mt. Manaslu (8156m), meaning “Spirit of the mountain” (the world’s 8th highest peak). There are numerous photo opportunities of glaciers, moraines, exposed barren landscapes, waterfalls, wild gushing alpine rivers, and of course Buddhist Gompas (temples), Mani stones (stones engraved in Sanskrit prayers) and the pervasive multi-colored Tibetan prayer flags.
The Manaslu Circuit Trek follows the remarkable Budi Gandaki River as you head north to Deng village. The valley narrows forcing you to walk on narrow paths above the river. Further north the valley opens up and reveals pristine views of alpine meadows and small Tibetan villages at the base of Manaslu's daunting north face. We then arrive at Samagaun, the 3rd largest village in the region. We then head west and cross the Larkya La Pass at (5,106m), a trail that connects the Budi Gandaki and the Marsyangdi rivers. As we head lower we cross the gorgeous alpine meadows at Bhimthang before connecting with the main Annapurna Circuit trail. We then head back to Besisahar.
The trek begins at Soti Khola and heads through many alpine villages in the Manaslu region before finishing at Besisahar. We will pass through the village of Arughat and then to Soti Khola where we begin our trek to: Machhakhola, Jagat, Deng, Lho, Samagaun, Samdo and Dharamsala. After crossing Larke La Pass (5106m), the highest altitude on this trek we head down to Bimtang and drive to Besisahar and back to Kathmandu.
