Our Alpine crossing begins in the Karwendel mountains near the Bavarian border. We hike through the Sellraintal mountains and the Stubai Alps and marvel at the glaciers of the Zillertal Alps on the main Alpine ridge. We experience the magic of rustic mountain pastures in the midst of a mountain world reclaimed by mountain farmers in a centuries-old tradition, hiking across colorful mountain meadows and pastures, through sparse forests and on mountain ridges with great views. Overnight stays are in cozy mountain huts, mountain pastures and simple hotels. Hikers, what more could you want?
