Victoria Falls is not only one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, but it is also the ultimate adventure hub of Africa, offering more than 50 different activities. Stretching 1,708 meters in width, Victoria Falls holds the record for the world's largest sheet of falling water, plunging over 100 meters into the Zambezi Gorge below.
Locally known as "Mosi-Oa-Tunya" or "The Smoke That Thunders," Victoria Falls is aptly named for the spectacular mist that rises from the falls, visible up to 30 kilometers away. The area includes two national parks: Zambezi National Park in Zimbabwe and Mosi-oa-Tunya Zoological Park in Zambia. These parks support a variety of wildlife, including large herds of elephants and buffalo, as well as smaller species and predators such as lions.
