نظرة عامة على الرحلة

This vacation offers a wonderful variety of coastal scenery, ranging from sheltered tidal coves to the wooded Fal Estuary and the cliffs of the Lizard, England's most southerly point. The whole area is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The mild climate even allows palm trees to flourish and Cornwall is home to some of England's finest gardens. Historically, Cornwall is the land of smugglers, shipwrecks and dark deeds in secret, hidden coves that you will pass on your walk. In literary terms, Cornwall is associated with the poet John Betjeman, who was rendered speechless by the spectacular cliffs, Virginia Woolfe and, of course, the novels of Daphne Du Maurier. The landscape is just as spectacular and picturesque as the small fishing villages. There are beautiful beaches, wonderful bird-watching spots and botanical sites, and sunsets that will stay with you long after you leave. There are people who have walked the entire five hundred miles of this wonderful long-distance trail and talk about nothing else after dinner. Our modest little week-long hike can have an equally powerful effect.

  1. Make your way to the historic town of Penzance in the far west of Cornwall. Penzance, whose name means 'sacred headland' in Cornish, has long been an important port and trading hub with a history dating back to medieval times. More recently, the town has developed into a popular vacation destination known for its subtropical gardens, mild climate and rich maritime heritage. The impressive Georgian and Regency architecture combined with attractions such as Egyptian House, the Maritime Museum and the National Lighthouse Museum make Penzance a delightful place to explore. The town also offers numerous dining options, including seafood restaurants that celebrate local fishing.
