خط السير يومًا بيوم
You’ll be picked up early in the morning from your Cairo hotel and accompanied by your personal tour guide on a comfortable, modern A/C vehicle for a 95 km drive southwest to Fayoum Oasis. Here, you’ll get to explore the Wadi Hitan highlights, including...
Wadi Hitan
Wadi Hitan, also known as the "Valley of the Whales," is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Egypt's Western Desert. This remarkable area contains hundreds of fossilized whale skeletons, some over 40 million years old, showcasing the evolution of whales from land to sea creatures. The site offers a fascinating glimpse into prehistoric life, with well-preserved fossils that include early whales with leg remnants. Visitors can explore trails among the fossils.
Qarun Lake
Qarun Lake, is one of the country's oldest natural lakes and a vital ecosystem for wildlife. Once part of the ancient Moeris Lake, it dates back thousands of years and now spans around 200 square kilometers. The lake attracts a variety of migratory birds.
The Magic Lake
The Magic Lake, is a stunning desert lake known for its shimmering, color-changing waters. Depending on sunlight and mineral content, the lake shifts between hues, creating a magical appearance against the backdrop of sand dunes. Surrounded by peaceful landscapes, it's a popular spot for camping, sandboarding, and enjoying serene views, especially at sunrise and sunset.
As we make our way to the Wadi El Rayan Water Falls, we'll stop by the majestic Mudawara Mountain.
Our next stop is the Wadi Al Ryan Water Falls, nestled in a natural depression in the western desert, 42m below sea level.
Wadi Rayan is a unique ecosystem featuring two lakes connected by Egypt's only waterfalls.
It was formed in 1970 due to an overflow of drainage water from the farmlands in El-Fayoum. Our journey continues to the Magic Lake, a mesmerizing salty lake in the heart of the desert.
The Magic Lake is aptly named, as it appears like a vast spring emerging from nowhere. Here, you'll have the opportunity to tour in a small boat and enjoy sandboarding on the dunes.
As the day ends, we'll set up camp for an overnight stay under the stars.
Meals: Lunch and dinner.
