This is a unique tour, that probably won't be possible to run in a couple of years as Albania's infrastructure improves. For now, we can take you south on mostly unpaved roads, giving you a taste of rural Albanian life as it was before the much-heralded tourism boom.
You vehicle for the tour will be a large 4x4, probably a Jeep or Land Rover.
Please expect a few bumps, and precipitous drops!

This little city (really a small town) has a long and fascinating history, and makes for a great overnight stop on any tour of southern Albania. Its ancient castle has been inhabited continuously for something like 2,500 years, and has seen countless sieges and battles. Berat is in the heart of Albania’s central wine region, and there are some great wineries very close by if you fancy a tasting.
