Begin at Arusha, proceed to Marangu Gate (1,860 m), then Mandara Hut (2,700 m). After breakfast, head to Kilimanjaro National Park Gate for registration. Trek through dense rainforest, possibly spotting colobus monkeys. Reach Mandara Hut after 4 hours. Optional visit to Maundi Crater for panoramic views. Dinner and overnight at Mandara Hut
