- Individual arrival in Broome and pick up your rental car. Explore Broome and its surroundings. For example, visit the beautiful Beagle Bay or take the opportunity to go swimming or on a camel ride on the 20 km long Cable Beach, which is located approx. 6 km outside the town. One night at Seashells Resort Broome (upper middle class). Day 2: Broome - Port Headland. Today's route takes you along Eighty Mile Beach and through the Great Sandy Desert. The route is long and has few stops, so make sure you have plenty of water, food and a full tank of gas. Your destination is Port Hedland, known for its iron ore mining. One night at the Hospitality Inn Port Hedland (mid-range). Approx. 615 km.
